Sujeewa De Silva

Former Sri Lankan national cricket team member Sujeewa De Silva was a left-handed fast bowler who also worked in the commercial banking industry. He gained fame for his skills on the cricket field, bringing pride to his country. Additionally, Sujeewa continued his father’s gem business. Similarly, Mr. Gunadasa Wedikkar, a professional chef in the tourist industry, also ran his own gem business alongside his culinary work.

Additionally, a few years ago, Sujeewa De Silva launched an international TV channel called Colombo Television by chairing it. The purpose of this initiative was to provide Sri Lankans living abroad with the opportunity to watch free Sri Lankan programs. He actively participates in social care programs ( Uthum Sathkara/ Helping Hand Colombo Foundation) organized by his family and also runs a gem business while residing in the United States of America.
